The Archive of Knowledge is a tool for documenting different phases of the artistic work, theatrical laboratory know-how and craft.

Is a web platform which presents a collection of materials and documents, which describe the laboratory theatre production process that is taking part within the international project titled The Paradox of Justice – European Laboratory Theatre Co-production (JUSTLAB), realized within Creative Europe program from December 2022 until end of November 2024.
We want to share with you the steps of our work on a theatrical co-production through different textual, photographic, video, graphic and other material.
JUSTLAB aims at creation of a transnational laboratory theatre co-production, by three partners – PLAVO theatre – the theatre laboratory from Serbia, which is the lead partner, Theaterlabor Bielefeld from Germany and the Grotowski Institute from Poland.
It also aims at building capacity within the sector of European laboratory theatre, by promoting its values, providing conditions for laboratory practices to develop, by sharing knowledge and allowing its practitioners to be active at an international level.
The coproduction will raise awareness, enhance dialog and empathy among audiences and promote societal resilience, by critical reaction to different aspects of injustice in contemporary Europe.
With our artistic work, we reflect on the rise of violence and the crisis of democratic values, which is most visible in the rise of extreme right-wing ideologies, hostility towards migrants, women and socially marginalized groups, as well as in the reckless destruction of nature.

The Passage in Belgrade
A mutual co-production of the project partners, performance The Passage, will be performed in Belgrade on April 4, 2024 at 8 PM in Centre for Cultural Decontamination. The performance will be performed in English, German, Serbian and Polish languages with translation into Sign language.
The Passage in Wroclaw
Performance The Passage, a mutual co-production of the project partners, will have its premiere in Wroclaw on February 17 at 19.00 and on February 18 at 17.00 at Na Grobli venue of the Grotowski Institute. Both performances will be accompanied by an additional program, so on February 17 after the performance the spectators will have the opportunity to Meet the Artists and on February 18 after the performance concert The Traces will be held.
Meeting in Belgrad
From May 30 until June 2, 2023, PLAVO Theatre hosted Exchange of methodologies workshop, the kick-off artistic meeting of JUSTLAB project, which took place in Belgrade, gathering participants from three partner organisations – Theaterlabor Bielefeld (Germany), Grotowski Institute (Poland) and PLAVO Theatre (Serbia). The artists presented and shared between themselves their artistic methodologies which would be applied in work on the mutual co-production.
Meeting in Bielefeld
The first work in progress meeting dedicated to the creation of the mutual co-production, took place in Bielefeld from September 15-16, 2023, and was hosted by Theaterlabor. The partners attended rehearsal of Theaterlabor ensemble and spoke about different aspects of the performance such approach to the theme, methods, stage design etc.
Main activities
of the project include laboratory work in performance creation, testing methodologies and workshops with local audiences, particularly disadvantaged groups. The co-production will be performed in Poland, Germany and Serbia, with a live stream for online audiences and an interpretation into Serbian Sign language in Serbia.

Archive of Knowledge
keeps track of our activities and artistic process, and makes the knowledge of the laboratory theatre accessible to theatre colleagues-practitioners across the world including deaf artists, since there will be translations into international Sign language provided of the three documentary films made during the project.
